The regulatory environment for diabetes and obesity drugs has never been tougher, but the Elite Research Network has experience gathering safety data and retaining patients through long-term outcomes studies.

With access to board certified endocrinolgists, general practitioners and registered dieticians, the Elite Research Network has the therapeutic expertise and access to patients for your next metabolic disorder study. Our sites have extensive experience recruiting diabetics who are either treatment naïve, on monotherapy, or on dual therapy. And when it comes to obesity, our investigators know it is not recruitment, but retention, that requires the most attention.

Our sites have conducted hundreds of endocrinology and metabolic disorder studies, mainly in the area of diabetes and obesity, from Phase I through Phase IV. Each of our sites utilizes a central IRB to accelerate study start up. Through a combination of our patient databases and selective advertising, our sites typically meet or exceed enrollment goals in the studies we conduct, while providing high quality data to our clients.

For both diabetes and obesity, our sites have experience conducting long term cardiovascular outcomes studies that can last five years or longer. We know retention rates are essential to the success of these studies. As a result, our study teams keep in close contact with participants to ensure compliance and to monitor all adverse events (AE) and serious adverse events (SAE).

Our sites are equipped to conduct study-related procedures including, but not limited to, Hemoglobin A1C testing, ECG machines, analog and digital scales, Cholestechs, centrifuges, stadiometers, and DEXA machines.

Due to our therapeutic expertise in endocrinology and metabolic disorders, we also work with our clients in the feasibility and planning stages of their studies. We offer focus groups consisting of investigators, study coordinators, and when appropriate, study participants, in order to establish enrollment expectations and address potential challenges in an effort to minimize cost to the client.

Our sites have successfully conducted the following endocrinology and metabolic disorder studies:
  • Adult Nutrition
  • Diabetes Mellitus Type I
  • Diabetes Mellitus Type II
  • Diabetic Foot Ulcers
